<p>You can look up exactly what a hook is, but the ones that I know are URM (Under Represented Minority - Such as African American, also, being Asian is a ORM - over represented - and therefore is negatively affecting you), Recruited Athlete, and Legacy (a parent attended and graduated from the university). </p>

<p>As for chances, your ECs are lacking and you’re an international applicant as well as the fact that these are all high level schools with lower than 20% acceptance rate so I’d say they’re basically all reaches.</p>
