Chance me into these schools

I have recently finished my junior year in high school and i was wondering if i could have some honest opinions about attending these schools
UC Riverside
UC Irvine
UC Merced
Cal State Long Beach

General Information
-2.95 sophomore and junior g.p.a
-6 AP/Honors Courses for my high school career
-Played Varsity Sports every year in high school
-Been doing volunteer work since middle school
-SAT Score of 1700(but i plan on retaking it)
-SAT subject test will most likely be History and Literature
-I'm male
-Im African Amercian

Honestly your GPA does not look to good. But the SAT scores makes up for it. Example My GPA was 3.9, but 1340 SAT. I got accepted to UCR, UCI, UCM. You are guaranteed, if CA resident, 4 free applications to to any UC. With that I do believe you will have a spot at 1, not necessarily of your choice, if you were in EAOP. I’m not sure if that’s still a requirement.

Your Personal Statements needs to be the best paper you have ever written. Don’t make it a sad sob story, the readers dislike it because it tends to make them feel uncomfortable if you’re denied. Get everyone and your English teachers to read and re read and re read your personal statement. It needs to set you apart from other applicants.

try to touch on things such as what you have accomplished or why you have a lower GPA than most applicants. or perhaps your passionate volunteer service…

Ok thank you !
