<p>I'm a bit curious as to what you guys think of my resume. It's really heavily focused on one subject.</p>

Rank: 6/402</p>

I don't know if this considered an award non-musically speaking, but I was the concertmaster of the Youth Symphony and the All State Symphony.</p>

<p>If you guys would like me to be more descriptive about something just let me know.</p>

<p>So...yeah I mean it doesn't look like a lot in text but my life was dedicated to music since I had thought for the longest time I was going to be a professional musician. Simply put things changed around sophomore/junior year, I am no longer pursuing music as my professional career, and now I'm really trying to pursue academic-related stuff (which is why I took on more AP classes junior year). I am applying to Johns Hopkins, but do you guys think I even have a chance with the so many areas lacking? I realize that it's quite a reach, but I guess I'm curious as to whether you guys think it's even worth it.</p>

<p>Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. :)</p>

<p>I don’t know why you say you have “so many things lacking.” A lot of people on College Confidential post some stats that, honestly, sound pretty inflated to me, and make people panic. A 3.87 unweighted GPA isn’t a 4.0, but it’s nothing to sneeze at. You were really involved in music outside of school, and your course load is pretty respectable.</p>

<p>Your SAT score is a little weak for Hopkins, but that doesn’t necessarily make your application dead in the water.</p>

<p>At this point, your application is presumably already in. All you can do is wait and see. But, don’t stress it too much. You have a shot at getting in to Hopkins, and, if you applied to a range of good schools, there’s no reason you shouldn’t get into one of them.</p>

<p>Are you planning on doing any music stuff at Peabody if you get into Hopkins? A few of my friends did and it was really worthwhile for them. Oh, and if you get in, do well on the Calc BC exam… Hopkins will actually give you credit for that one ;).</p>

<p>you have a solid rank, uw gpa and great passion for music. Your sat score may be a bit low than the average 50 percent of the admitted student, but you shouldn’t be stressed over it too much. You obviously did your best and assuming that you wrote an insightful essay that talks about the passionate individual you are, you will be have a great shot of getting admitted. I applied ED this year, and i wish you the best of luck!!!</p>
