Chance me JHU, BU, NYU, etc

Feeling a little worried, especially about my GPA. I'm asian, from a top 10 in state public school, no idea what my income bracket I am, but it's >100,000.

Applying to:
Johns Hopkins (really want to apply ED, as it's my top choice. But there are other schools that I'd be very happy to go to, so I'm unsure if I should ED if there's little chance.
Boston University
NYU

Northeastern
UMass Amherst
McGill
Carnegie Mellon
UT Austin
Rice

SAT: 2280 (One sitting)

Any chance at JHU?

GPA is low, as you’ve pointed out, but SAT and ECs are solid

BU, NEU, UMass- match-high match
McGill, UT Austin, Rice- high match
JHU, CMU (assuming Tepper or Engineering)- reach

Chance me? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1690007-claremont-mckenna-duke-bucknell-grinnell-uofr-chances.html

To put some perspective, my school’s Naviance has the average weighted GPA of UMass at 3.6 at the low end, and around 4.1 for CMU and JHU. Don’t know if that’s normal or if it makes any difference. Thanks for the chance! Do you think it’s worth applying ED to JHU given it’s a reach?

@Asiankid1 Definitely apply ED, even if it’s a reach. Most competitive people apply ED to their dream schools, which are almost always reaches. The only problem with ED is if you’re financially wary and need to compare packages. If you’re fine with money to the school, and you love it, apply ED.
