<p>Hey, I saw people already posting their decision from JMU and I am SOOO anxious to find out what is going to be my decision. I applied regular decision for JMU because i didn't have much time for applying to any colleges during my volleyball season. Anyways, here are my stats :) </p>

<p>Hispanic, in-state, first generation</p>

<p>Weighted GPA (school does not give UW): 3.47
ACT score: 24</p>

<p>I took many honors classes freshman/sophomore year. I took in a total of 9 IB classes, my whole high school career. </p>

<p>Each year, my performance in high school increase. </p>

<p>Senior Year schedule: IB Biology HL, IB social anthro, IB English SL, IB TOPICS HL, IB Spanish 1, IB mathematics SL, yearbook (pushing to get mostly A for 1st semester - mid year report) </p>

<p>EC:
Varsity Volleyball (12) JV volleyball (9-11)
Captain of soccer team (LMVSC) for four years (9-12)
Yearbook editor
Theatre - tech crew, actress, stage manager (9-12)
Best Buddies- (10-12)
Dance captain - hip hop (9-12)
Founder/president of a club for future vets for my community rec</p>

<p>Volunteer:
Animal Shelter (9-12)</p>

<p>Honors:
National Technical honor society
International thespian society
Best teen choreographer 2012 hip hop category </p>

<p>I send a teacher rec. & a good essay. </p>

<p>A weighted 3.47 implies that your UW will be much less. Your act is alright for a state university, but your ecs are really good. Good luck

<p>I think you have a decent chance for JMU. If you could get your ACT up a few points, you’ll definitely have a great chance of getting in! Your extracurriculars are stellar and your schedule is definitely rigorous, you should have a decent chance.</p>

<p>ECs and background give you a good shot. Like everyone else said, try to bump up your ACT</p>

<p>You have a good chance of acceptance the GPA seems a little low but the ECs are good could you retake the ACT and try and get that up good luck </p>
