Chance me? John Hopkins Transfer student for next year?

<p>OK so first of all I have never done a chance me thread so just take that in mind.
Anyway right now I'm already a registered biology major freshman student at Temple university in Philadelphia. However, after finally having the time to look at the majors that surround my interest in science I have found biomedical engineering very fascinating and much more my style than biology, which unfortunately Temple doesn't have.
Now while I am in Temple, I am going to try to follow the biomedical engineering classes students take as a freshman in John Hopkins (as they have it on their site). Example chemistry, physics, etc. (If I fail the AP exams this year)
So what I believe my hooks are assuming John Hopkins even looks at my transfer application would be- (P.S. I believe 6 is the strongest, as this is what didn't allow me to apply to john hopkins as a freshman)</p>

<p>1) Ethnicity: Hispanic (Chilean to be exact)
2) High school grade gpa: 3.8 or 3.9 as overall gpa at my high school
3) Taken every AP class I could ever get my hands on
4) Science Fair: 8th, 9th, and 11th grade in which I was the only student of my whole school of 1250+ students to even participate.
5) 200+ volunteer hours with various experiences in high school sports and club leadership roles
6) I already know the experience of transferring a lot as I have lived in 5 places during my life and (<em>attention</em>) during my high school career I moved from a high school that I had completed 3 years at to one in a completely different state due to my dad's work. In other words, I was forced to finish my senior year in a totally different high school.
7) I expect to get the highest grades in my college courses</p>

<p>In conclusion, I already know that John Hopkins is very hard to get into as a freshman and even harder as a transfer student and even almost impossible for a student who wants to major in biomedical engineering. But I would still at least like to try to transfer there as a softmore.</p>

<p>Oh and don't judge me on my username. I just like being funny :)</p>

<p>Is that 3.8-9 weighted or unweighted? There are people applying to JH with ~5 gpas. I don’t think your #6 is going to really be a “hook,” but I do think it will help you write an essay. Being of hispanic descent will most certainly help your application. Just get the best grades you can, join loads of clubs, get involved in ECs EARLY (research in a lab particularly) and be prepared to apply to other schools or stay at Temple if you don’t get in. If you were really die hard about doing this you should start volunteering this summer. My opinion? Enjoy your summer before you start college.</p>
