Chance Me- Johns Hopkins International

Hey!!

I am an international student from India and i will be applying to JHU for the fall 2018 semester. I come from a suburban school which didn’t have many activities that interested me and no clubs at all. But I still managed to participate in as many as i could.

My stats are:-

-> GPA:- We do not have a GPA system but I had a 10/10 in my 10th grade and 88% (which is top 10% in the nation) in class 12th.

-> SAT:- 1370/1600 (retaking in Oct and aiming for a 1530+)

-> SAT II :- 800/800 in Physics, Math 1 and Math 2

-> AP:- Physics C: Mechanics (5/5)
E&M (4/5)
Calculus BC (4/5)
(we didn’t have any AP classes/tests at our school so i had to take them externally)
-> ECs and Awards :- Got to the second level in National Science Olympiad and International Mathematics Olympiad. Won the first prize for my robot in school science exhibition. Won another robotics competition conducted by a local institute. Was the captain of my house. Won third prize in a drama competition conducted by school. Appreciation letter by human resource department minister of india for my grades in 10th grade. AP honors award.

-> Besides all this, i like to read a lot. Also i know some stuff about arduino and raspberry pie. Speedcubing and photoshopping also are some of the ways i spend my time. Although i dont know even if all these can be proved are important at all.

Please chance me for ED at Johns Hopkins University. Major:- Computer Science/ Electronics Engineering.

Push that SAT score up above 1450 and you’ll be competitive academically - look for the admitted student profile last year to see the exact IQR for this year’s freshman class’ SAT/ACT scores to get a sense for where you should be.

Your ECs are solid as well. If you can push the SAT up and write a solid essay you should be competitive.

Bear in mind that Hopkins is need aware for international applicants so you’d be paying full tuition if you chose to come here.

Good luck!
