Chance me - joining the bandwagon

<p>American citizen - been living in Israel for the past 8 years and attend the American International School</p>

<p>ED to CAS (Physics Major)</p>

<p>GPA - 3.4 UW (I know this is very low. in my defense, my school is notoriously tough about grading haha).</p>

<p>Rank - My school doesn't rank</p>

<p>SAT I - 770M, 670CR, 650W</p>

<p>SAT II - 770 Math II, 750 Physics, 730 Hebrew</p>

<p>APs - Computer Science A-4, Calculus AB-5</p>

<p>Senior APs - Physics B, Statistics, Music Theory (Self-study), Calculus BC (Self-study), Comparative Government (after school club)</p>

<p>ECs (Varsity sports takes up a lot of time so I was not able to do as many ECs as I would've liked, not that my school offers many anyway.)</p>

-Model United Nations 9th-12th, traveled as a delegate to overseas conferences, currently am the webmaster of our school conference's website (biggest MUN conference in Israel) and the Chief Technical Officer of this year's conference.

-I've had 14 family members attend Cornell, including 2 grandparents and 4 great-grandparents.</p>

<p>Despite your very low GPA and your moderately decent SAT's (for Cornell), your legacy alone is going to get you in.</p>

<p>that's what i'm semi-counting on. but I've heard that legacy only really kicks in when they are trying to decide between two equally qualified applicants. but then again, I haven't reviewed a case about someone with as much legacy as me.. so who knows :)</p>

<p>Please let me know if you get accepted or not (you have around the same SAT scores as me, but I have a higher GPA- not bragging or anything, as my EC's arn't HALF as good). It would give me an idea of where I'm at (then again, no legacy for me- but my im first gen in my family so i guess that helps)</p>
