Chance me... kind of

So I’m applying to 5 out of state schools that are very selective and then one school in my home state that I know I will get accepted to. The out of state schools are Columbua University, Uchicago, Georgetown, NYU and Boston University. So my question is, with my stats (written below) do you think it is likely that I’ll get into at least one of these schools?
My stats:
gpa: 4.2
class rank: 6/342
ACT: 32 (second time taking I’m taking it again in sept)
aps: I have taken 6 so far, gotten 5s on all but one, got a 4 on that one. will have taken 11 by the time I graduate
ecs: pretty average but I’m a great writer so my essays will be good

@ark450 What do you mean by “average ECs” – ECs are very important in the process.

Your GPA is great, as is your ACT score.

Columbia is a reach for nearly everyone, and BU and NYU are matches.

@EIC2400 I haven’t invented an app or started a business or done my own research. I have done a lot of community service, played soccer, attended a leadership camp, attended governors school and I’m very involved I’m my school band and have leadership positions within that program and participate musically outside of it. By average I just meant that I haven’t done anything the typical high school hasn’t done.

Can’t really tell without your UW GPA, intended major, and you “pretty average ECs”
If you expect us to chance you, at least put some effort into it.
With info you gave us…

Columbia: High Reach
UChicago: High Reach
Georgetown (College): Safety
Georgetown (University): Reach
NYU: High Match
Boston University: High Match/ Low Reach

@Klee16 I didn’t really mean for people to chance me individually for all the schools I listed, I just wanted an opinion as to whether I had a chance into getting into at least one of them, that’s why I didn’t write all my stats completely out. I’m intending to major in Biology and my school doesn’t tell us unweighted gpa but I’ve gotten 2 bs (semester not whole year) so I’m guessing like a 3.99. Thanks for chancing me!

@ark450 Alrighty. I think the GPA is good – some HSs only do weighted GPAs anyways and having that good of a rank is incredible! Your ECs can potentially make or break it, and are not a negligible piece of information.

That being said, some Ivies would like to see a little higher of an ACT score, but a 32 is definitely nothing to scoff at. You’re well within the range for NYU, but they give little aid, so if finances are tight, you may want to look elsewhere.
