6) U of Chicago-High match/Low Reach

I think you have all of the credential for being a top ivy applicant. I wouldn’t be surprised if Brown or Pomona accepted you. Work on essays, short answers, etcetera.

If you took AP’s this last year, your scores should be back by now. (I got all mine back, happy to say.) You might want to include awards and the like too.

I wouldn’t take the SAT if you have such a high score on the ACT, but I believe a few SAT II’s might be appropriate? I can’t say for sure, but I thought brown requires those scores…(?) Perhaps add your GPA.

That being said, based on what you have:

1) Northwestern - Match
2) NYU - match
3) Brown - Reach
4) Pomona - low reach
5) U of Illinois - Safety
6) U of Chicago - It’s all in the Essay. [low reach]

I agree with the poster above, it would be helpful if we knew what your GPA was so we can give you a more accurate prediction. However, with the information you have given us, I would say:
Northwestern-match
NYU-low match
Brown-reach
Pomona-low reach
U of Illinois-in
U of Chicago-low reach
Also, I wouldn’t take the SATs unless you think you can get a perfect score. However, your 35 ACT score is close to perfect, so I think you should be fine with that. Good luck!

ping pong and ukulele?? if i were an adcom, you’d be auto-in! haha

here’s what i say:

1) Northwestern-match
2) NYU-low match/safety?
3) Brown :/-reach/low reach
4) Pomona :/-low reach
5) U of Illinois-match
6) U of Chicago-high match/low reach (gotta love those essay prompts…)

what are you leaning towards as your major?

thanks!
it’s nice to see people on here who aren’t just math/science (the cloud of hypocrisy is looming over me).
i think in the part of your app where you elaborate on an activity, you should include aspects of your possible majors in activities that otherwise don’t suggest them.
wait, i didn’t articulate that very well…
for example, you could say something about, at the day care center, observing the way “playground politics” mimic those on the more macrocosmic scale, vaguely working in your journalistic observational skills (?) (just off the top of my head. i’m sure you can come up with something much more substantial and well-thought-out :P)
