<p>Well you have nice stats (the C’s are questionable but you mentioned extenuating circumstances), but it would probably be easier to chance you if you listed schools or careers you’re interested in.</p>

<p>Then again, I’m still in high school, so I can’t really give chances like other people on this forum.</p>

For the essay though… my impression is that the thing with your dad doesn’t actually show anything you did… LOTS of kids go through stressful home life situations… this one had no direct contact with anything you did or how you showed any skills, etc. Maybe chose a different topic, or shed light on how you proved him innocent?</p>

<p>I generally don’t respond to, or even read, chance threads (I think they’re pointless), but the Lehigh IBE caught my eye. My son was admitted to the program a few years ago (chose to go elsewhere) and I’m considering it for S2.</p>

<p>You have earned only two A’s in your entire high school career, freshman geometry and sophomore history. Your GPA looks to be somewhere around 3.0. With your good SAT, and assuming you have demonstrated interest in Lehigh (this is huge for them), you are a borderline candidate just for admission to the school. You are highly unlikely to get into IBE, the cream of the crop at Lehigh. Once in the program, IBE requires maintaining a minimum 3.25 GPA just to continue. You haven’t even achieved that in high school. How would you be expected to excel in the most difficult program they offer?</p>
