Hi, I’m looking for my chances at getting into Lehigh University. I am applying Regular Decision.

Hook: Straight A’s 2nd semester Sophomore year and all of Junior year, grades improved A LOT since freshman year.

You have a decent chance. SATs may be a little low, but the GPA (with the upward trend, especially) and AP scores are good. Also you have some good hooks, like your ECs.

@Rutherford77 I think it is likely that you will be admitted, if you show interest. Have you visited Lehigh? Did you attend when a representative visited your school? Etc.

If you haven’t done those things you need to. If you can’t do things, post about it, there are other things you can do.

@Much2learn I have visited and attended when the representative went to my school. Do you have examples of other ways I can show my interest? Thanks in advance.

Do the optional Admissions interview. This is typically don with an admissions officer, not an alum, so it’s a great way to show your interest. They will send a post card inviting you to an optional interview (at least they did with my S last yr - we’re in FL and they actually had an AO traveling the southeast doing interviews). Not only did it give my S an opportunity to show interest in Lehigh, he had the contact info of the AO for our area (to send thank you letter, let he know he applied, etc.) It all helps.
