Admitted:
University of Minnesota- Carlson School of Management

Applying:
Northwestern
Johns Hopkins
Notre Dame
UNC-Chapel Hill
Santa Clara
U of Minnesota - Carlson School of Management (Accepted)
& a bunch of randoms

Amazing EC’s but your test scores and GPA might hold you back a bit, whats your weighted? Anyways here’s my two bits:
Northwestern-Reach
Johns Hopkins-Reach
Notre Dame-Low reach
UNC Chapel Hill-High match
Not sure about the rest

Northwestern-Reach
Johns Hopkins-Lower Reach unless you are applying pre-med and what not- then reach
Notre Dame-Low Reach
UNC-Chapel Hill-High Match

I think you’ll get in at least two of these

There was a girl on the “admitted to Columbia” thread last night who got in with something like an 1820 on her SATs…she was also an opera singer.

I think your ECs look great & will elevate you above the crowd. Northwestern in particular would go for this.

Northwestern-yes
Johns Hopkins-yes
Notre Dame-yes
UNC-Chapel Hill-yss
Santa Clara-never heard of it
you honestly never know with these things, but I think your an amazing applicant! Best of luck!!

Northwestern - Reach
Johns Hopkins - Low Reach
Notre Dame - Low Reach
UNC-Chapel Hill - High Match
Santa Clara - Match
Everything above Match is contingent on your ACT score. But you still have a good chance at all of them

Thank you for chancing me!
Northwestern- reach
Johns Hopkins- reach to low reach
Notre Dame-low reach/high match
UNC-Chapel Hill- (high) match
Santa Clara- match

Are you being recruited for soccer? This would change things a bit.
What’s in-state for you?
What do you call “a bunch of randoms”?
How much can your family afford?
If you’re not being recruited, a lot of your matches and safeties would be unaffordable OOS.

GPA is a tad low but I’m a firm believer that if you have good EC’s that can outweigh, which I certainly think is the case here. Being able to write for CBS sports and start your own sports website with school track, soccer, and club soccer is definitely going to look appealing to schools.

Northwestern - High Match/Low Reach
Johns Hopkins - High Match (Unless you’re applying for Med, then probably a Mid-Reach)
Notre Dame - Match (Business is High Match)
UNC - Low Match/Match
Santa Clara - Low Match

Northwestern and Johns Hopkins are going to be tough, but if you wrote/are writing good essays I think colleges will be impressed by your UC’s.

Are you being recruited anywhere else? Have you fill out the “prospective recruit” forms for each of these colleges and sent a link to your video?

Yeah, I have a bunch of D3 options: St. Olaf (double legacy), Pacific Lutheran, and some others. Those are the ones I referred to as “other randoms.” I feel confident I’ll be accepted by those schools.

And yeah, I did fill out the prospective recruit form for JHU, but the coach hasn’t responded to me.
