Chance me, Low GPA, High SAT

I want to be a investment banker/hedge fund analyst
Applying to:
UVA
UNC Chapel Hill
NYU Stern
Boston CSOM
NYU CAS
Emory
UMich Ross
Notre Dame
Georgetown(I know, ridiculous reach)
USC
Middlebury(also ridiculous reach)
UCLA/Berk

I’ll also be taking a bunch of summer APs, like 3-4 to boost my GPA further. Maybe I can get to a 3.7, 4.0 IDK.

UCLA/Berk: Probably a low reach solely because of your GPA. You’ll stand a much better shot with a slightly higher GPA. Also, what college are you applying for?
UNC/UMich: Reach only because you’re out of state and those schools are basically reaches for OOS applicants.
Sorry about the others, not exactly sure.
Mainly get that GPA up before your junior year is over, and you’ll have a much, much better chance at admissions for the colleges you listed.

Once you crack 700 on each SAT section, there is little point in re-taking.
Given your GPA, you will get into a bunch of the school you mentioned, but not all of them.
But there are NO safeties on your list at all.
You need to add a few much less selective schools.

I’m confused, I had always thought OOS was a benefit because I pay more? And actually for UCs, my GPA is a flat 4… If I manage to crush it senior year 1st semester, it’ll be 4.16, also not including online courses. Likely I’ll have at least 1 B though so 4.12ish. And I do have a strong upward trend in course rigor. As for safeties, I’m thinking UTA, Tulane, or one of the less prestigious UCs.

BTW, how much do online courses count? I’m thinking of taking a few through Apex or K12 or whatever, but they won’t be on a school transcript, they’ll just be on a separate transcript I send to the college.

Bump?

Your grades are low for NYU Stern, Emory, Notre Dame and Berkeley–Stern is as hard to get into as Berkeley btw. I know it’s easy to get caught up in the name of schools, but I think you need to add more match and safeties to your list. God forbid you don’t get into colleges, what are you going to do? Add more safeties and matches to your list would be the most important thing to do imo. Your ECs and SAT score are pretty good though.

Chance me back?

UTA=UT Austin? Never a safety to anyone who is not an auto-admit especially for the business school.

Tulane…you should get in but don’t be overconfident with your application because the school wants to admit students who want to go there.

3.6 UW is not impossible, but you have to have quite good stats otherwise. ECs are not that strong either.

I’m concerned about your math SAT score if you are planning to be an analyst.

And income bracket “not sure”? If you are near a large city, under 50K per year is low, 50K - 150K is middle, and 150K+ is high.

I don’t know about taking summer AP courses - would you take the exams the following May?
