ACT: 27 (I know it's low)
GPA: 3.56 unweighted, 4.41 weighted -- I'm really bad at math/science! Got a D+ in honors precalculus, I think my counselor excused it in her rec. C+ in honors geometry, algebra 2, physics, and chem. Other than that, I'm an A student!
APs: 3 on AP Euro, 4 on APUSH. Currently taking AP Lit & Comp, AP Psych, and AP Gov.

Intended Major: Poli Sci w/ International Relations Concentration

Applying to: Georgetown (reach), GWU, Northeastern, BU, American University, Suffolk University, Simmons College, Lesley College, Washington College, Wheelock College, UMass Lowell (safety)

So I don’t understand why you would continue to take honors math when you had done poorly (you are not even allowed to continue in honors at my school of you get lower then a B), but…

Honestly I would call Georgetown unrealistic, your GPA is low, your SAT/ACT is a little low, your rank is low, the only really strong part is that your ECs relate so closely to your intended major. BU, American and GW will be high matches/low reaches. Not so sure about the others…

Yeah, Georgetown is just an amazing reach for me. Would still love to go there, though! Thanks so much. :)

Anyone know anything about my chances w/ Northeastern?

Also, in response to your question about why I would continue taking honors courses – I kept thinking that I would do better next time! Alas, that plan proved not to work…
