Probably applying ED to Macalester but also

Kenyon
Grinnell
Carleton
Whitman
Wesleyan

and Beloit and Bard as safeties

Thanks!!

Macalester: Match (in ED)
Kenyon: Match
Grinnell: Match
Carleton: High match
Whitman: Match
Wesleyan College: Low match (wasn’t sure which Wesleyan you referred to)
Wesleyan University: Reach (wasn’t sure which Wesleyan you referred to)
Beloit: Safety
Bard: Match

Macalester ED = high match (50 - 66% – good use of ED);

Carleton, Wesleyan = reaches; Grinnell low reach; Kenyon, Bard, Whitman, Beloit = matches

Curriculum seems weak for a distinguished public hs. Have you taken the most challenging courses offered at your school. If so, I would change Macalester ED to match and Grinnell to match. Good luck!

@muckdogs07 We used to have a lot more but replaced them with alternative individualized advanced classes. Due to many studies about the AP system and whether or not we really learn better from a rushed and less in depth curriculum, we decided to progress.

Thank you both! I’m feeling a bit more confident about my application.
