Chance Me / Match Me!

Hey everyone! I'm just another junior hoping to understand what my chances look like when applying to certain colleges listed at the bottom of this post. I am also hoping you all may suggest some more colleges I can apply to as safeties or match / low reach schools. Thanks for taking the time to read this!

Intended Major: International Relations / Economics / Psychology / Communications
(In order of interest)

Intended Career Path: Department of State or Department of Defense worker. Secretary of State is the (lofty) end goal. I would not mind being an ambassador either, or working for the United Nations or an NGO abroad.

GPA: 4.40 (Weighted) 3.58 (Unweighted)

Race: White

State of Residence: Arizona

Extracurricular Activities
President of Psychology Club (2 years)
President of Model United Nations (2 years)
Secretary of YMCA Youth and Government (2 years)
Life Scout (Nearly Eagle) (8 years, 30+ merit badges)
Order of the Arrow Brotherhood Member (3 years)
Senior Patrol Leader of BSA Troop (6 months)
Assistant Senior Patrol Leader of BSA Troop (18 months)
Assistant Junior Scoutmaster of BSA Troop (6 months)
Member of the National Honor Society (2 years)
Member of Key Club (3 years)
Member of Students Against Genocide (STAND) Club (3 years)

Awards:

Finalist in Congressional Debate at the Tournament of Champions
Finalist in Congressional Debate at the Harvard National Debate Tournament

Best Policy Paper (ASUMUN Model United Nations Conference)

Test Scores:
Exceeds AIMS Writing
Exceeds AIMS Reading
Exceeds AIMS Math
Exceeds AIMS Science
SAT: 2150 (730 Reading, 620 Math, 800 Writing)
SAT Subjects: 710 Literature, 680 U.S. History
AP: World History 4, U.S. History 4, Spanish Language and Culture 3, English Language and Composition 5, Psychology 5

Preferred Tuition:
Between $20,000 and $25,000 of fees when all scholarships and deductions are accounted for would be ideal, but really I just want to know what colleges I would best be matched with / probably get into. This is the least of my concerns.

Miscellaneous:
I received a “D” in my second semester of Honors Chemistry, but I received a “B” in the first semester. Trying to compensate, I am taking Honors Biotechnology 3-4 as a fourth-year science my senior year and currently have an “A”. In no other classes have I received a grade lower than a “B”. Science is not my field of interest / strength.
I am fairly fluent in Spanish--especially writing and reading. English is my first language.
I’m not big on substance use (alcohol, tobacco, other drugs), but I should be fine if the college has a prevalent usage issue.
I would love to travel abroad--especially into the Middle East or North Africa.

Colleges of Interest:
Arizona State University
Barrett, the Honors College at ASU
University of Arizona
The University of Arizona Honors College
Claremont McKenna College
Claremont Pomona College
George Washington University
George Mason University
Georgetown University
American University
University of Maryland

If you have ideas for colleges I may be interested in that would be safety, match, or low reach schools, please let me know! ASU and U of A are my safety schools in-state. Georgetown is probably out of the question (too high reach), but I thought I'd throw it in there to see what you think my chances might be.

Thanks again!

I forgot to include my senior year course load. It is fairly hefty:

Honors Biotechnology 3-4
Honors Economics / AP U.S. Government
Ceramics 1-2 (for the fine art credit, woo!)
AP Statistics
AP English: Literature and Culture
Honors Debate 7-8

I hope this helps!

The “Leadership Bowl” award “1 of 225 qualified” means that I was the one student to win the award out of 225 that qualified to the national tournament. The other 224 did not win.

i think ull get into all the schools u listed. The problem however is that with your intended major, you have to go to a top school like the ivys or else ur degree will prove itself useless. chanc me back: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1678812-can-i-get-into-any-good-engineering-schools.html#latest</a></p>

UPDATE: the claremont colleges will probably be a reach

Thanks very much for your replies! I chanced back.

NYU Abu Dabi might be fun

Thanks for the suggestion–it looks promising. :)

Possible match schools to investigate?

Fordham: <a href=“Fordham University”>http://www.fordham.edu/academics/programs_at_fordham_/international_politi/index.asp</a></p>

Occidental: <a href=“Diplomacy & World Affairs”>http://www.oxy.edu/diplomacy-world-affairs</a></p>

Maybe post in the individual school forums if you want to know more about them.

I’m pretty sure all of them are matches! Except University of Maryland… I don’t know much about it actually. And I agree with @toesockshoe . I don’t think there’s much scope in international relations or economics. Chance me back please? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1681835-chance-me.html#latest</a></p>
