In both 10th and 11th grade I had to get surgery on my foot due to a recurring tumor. I was out of school for a marking period each year and on crutches for 4 months each, this made me miss alot of school and no I couldn’t do as much extra curriculars and volunteering as I would have hoped.

I also can play any woodwind instrument and have been a part of every musical ensemble offered at my school, I am also first chair clarinet

I am also applying to Hamilton, colgate, lafayette, skidmore and Villanova

I want to major in Environmental science/pyschology and do pre med

I think you are selling yourself short with the idea that you have no chance. I would try to raise my ACT or try the SAT.

“slim to none” is not right, I think you have a “low” chance, especially with ED. The thing with Tufts is that they are primarily looking for fit. As long as your UW GPA is not <= 3.5 I think you are fine academically. If it is, I would also really focus on your grades in the first quarter this Fall.

ACT 31 is in the range, you can try to take it again and raise to a 32/33 but I don’t actually think that is necessary.

Applying ED and focusing on the supplements are probably the most important thing you can do at this point. Read the Tufts Admissions blog- there is a lot of great information about what they are looking for.

Good luck!
