Spacetime has been restored

Anyone?!! BUMPPP

In addition, I am the Vice President of the Student Body

whats wrong with 3.8?

Wonderful chances! You’re as close to perfect as they come. Be sure to focus super duper hard on your M&T essay though, as they really do look for fit when it comes to the dual degree programs (case in point: I know a kid with no research and only a 2150 SAT who got into M&T as well as a kid with a 2380 and multiple years of ISEF under his belt that DIDN’T get in. The difference? The essays (and the recs to some extent)).

Thank you so much for responding! It’s really nice to hear that, esp. considering how difficult and competitive the applicant pool for Upenn M&T is. I’ve been working on my essays for a substantial amount of time that I think I will be hitting the homestretch soon.

In addition, Would CCers please take the time to chance me for MIT/Caltech, and the colleges I listed for RD? Thanks.

BUMP10Char

340 of you viewed this, and a whopping two of you responded…

I really don’t know about admissions to Caltech, so I’m not going to tell you about that.
But for MIT, I think you have very good scores (the only thing is the fact that you had to resit the SAT, but you got 2400 so there’s nothing to say really…)
Now your ECs are very impressive. You’re a CEO, that’s quite unique. Many scientific ECs but also a lot to do with business. So you’re a very well-rounded student. I’m impressed because that’s not really my case, and I’m looking to go to the Ivies as well.
About MIT : it looks for students like you, that in addition, have one unique aspects about them. How many languages do you speak? Have you ever been out of the US? Have you had any unique personnal issues you had to overcome? Something like this could add that little extra to your application, to make it pop.
The impression I got when looking through your stats : “Wow ok, hmm good, ok nice, I see…”. Very good but not… breath taking. Do you know what I mean? The “holy ****” feeling (excuse my french :p). Schools like the Ivies, MIT, Stanford are all looking for that feeling. You’re great, but not extraordinary. I litterally mean : extra-ordinary, someone who isn’t ordinary. There’re other brilliant kids out there, who have done the same kind of ECs as you. What makes you stand out?
Are there any additional info you’d like to share maybe?
& Make sure to write a killer essay ofc.

Hope I wasn’t too harsh! I don’t mean to hurt anyone’s feelings!! Just sharing my honest opinion. Hope that review was helpful for you in any way!

Could you chance me back maybe?? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/international-students/1390066-french-baccalaureate-international-student-applying-top-us-colleges.html</a> :)
