Hi, I was just accepted to McCombs on Friday, January 18, 2019. I thought I would list some of my stats for people who are curious in the future.
My SAT/ACT scores were definitely not competitive at all. SAT: 1260 ACT: 23 However, I did receive high scores (nearly perfect) on the essay portion of the SAT and ACT; whether or not this helped me, we will never know.
Rank: Top 6% (specifically top 3%). 4/138

IMPORTANT EXTRA INFO
Although I wasn’t strong in test scores, I did attend an application only camp at McCombs over the summer, and I believe this is the only reason I got into McCombs. I was fortunate enough to be chosen for this all-expense paid camp, and at the camp I met with several recruiters and admissions officers and got to know them, and was even invited to a recruiting meeting a few months later. Out of 850 applicants for the camp, I was 1 of 50 that were selected. Without this, I don’t think I would’ve gotten accepted, so I highly recommend that people apply to this camp.
