Santa Clara University
RPI
Boston University
Northeastern University
USC

I’ve been looking at schools with pretty good programs in my major and looking at admissions scatterplots on niche.com that sorta overlap with my sat/gpa. I’m open to suggestions.

Great test scores, being NMF will definitely help but GPA is pretty low although you show good course rigor.

SCU: High Match
USC: Low Reach-Reach

Some compelling essays explaining why your grades to do not match your test scores could help.

Good Luck.

May I ask how you rank relatively highly at a very competitive magnet school if your grades are low?

@Gumbymom Thanks  I will definitely spend lots of time on those essays!

@ClarinetDad16 As of now I rank 63/170. I’ve been studying religiously for my classes next semesters so hopefully I can get all As and bump my rank up to around 50. I’m pretty surprised that I’m not ranked 80ish haha, but my school’s ranking pretty much comes from the top quarter being full of stellar students that score well on AP tests I think. I’ve also only taken AP classes which are weighed higher and ranks are determined by weighted GPA so there’s that.
