Donât get a letter of rec from someone at your lab. Get it from a classroom teacher. If you do want a rec from the lab, it should be supplemental. You donât want to upset admissions officers by giving them more work.

@AnnieBeats Haha sorry I posted it in the Boston College sub forum I thought that was enough. But yeah Boston College. Thanks for replying I appreciate it. How does the whole supplemental thing work

Oh sorry, I didnât pay attention. Supplements are basically something that gives a college a better image of who you are as a person. You should only include an additional rec if it shows a dimension of you that the college doesnât see see from the two initial letters

@jpm50 hey you replied in my other thread. Could I have your opinion here? My SAT is 2050 now and iâm taking it next week so it will probably be around 2100 by the time I apply. Thanks!

@JellyFishh:
It appears you have a profile that should be âconsideredâ, but understand that we can only see part of your application. Even if we could see the whole application, no one, not even the adcoms, can tell you if youâll be admitted or not.

We do not get to see your essay, your teacher evaluations, some understanding of who you were in those ECs, the hardships you may have had in your personal life (like work to keep food on the family table), or BCâs track record with applicants from your high school.

How badly do you want to get accepted to BC?
From the moment you knew you were going to retake the SATs, did you spend all your waking hours studying for them (either via paid SAT prep courses or via all the free material available)?
What are you doing to get straight Aâs in your classes this semester?
