Chance me! My SATs are low :(

<p>Hi, I'm thinking of applying to BU , connecticutt college, u of oregon, umass amherst, northeastern, and stony brook</p>

<p>16 year old hispanic female, living in puerto rico. (ive only been living here for 3 years, im from new york)
Senior
Gpa:3.8 unweighted
SAT scores:1730 ( i had 1610 the first time i took it and i think if i take it again i can get higher than 1800)</p>

<p>No AP classes because they dont have them in PR
Top 10% of my school
On honor roll</p>

<p>In national honor society, president of 4h club
Member of enviornmental club, in school play, president of book club, vice president of young artists association and member of pastry club</p>

<p>90 hours (and possibly more) of community service
Tutoring elementry school kids
Volunteering with pre school kids
Volunteering with church organization
Interned for 2 summers at christian retreat center in costa rica.
Participated in mock UN</p>

<p>What do you think my chances are? Also can you recommend colleges based on my stats? Id like to go somewhere in the northeast.</p>

<p>I think you have a good shot at BU or NEU if you get a higher SAT score, try to boost it to 1850+. You can make a good case about how you moved to the PR, your essay should be a strong one.</p>

<p>Any ideas on how i can include the “moving to PR” thing in my essay? The BU essay asks why you would be a good fit for BU. Unless I make my commonapp essay about it but im not sure.
