Current community college student. Applying this fall (2018) for fall (2019) admittance
Top schools: UC Davis & UC Santa Cruz
Other places I’m applying: University of San Francisco, University of Oregon, Sacramento State
Im applying to Davis as an animal science major (Pre-veterinary) but everywhere else I’d apply as general biology.
GPA expected by Fall 2018 will be 2.9-3.0 for applications. I will have all my major course requirements completed as well as general ed transfer requirements except for a language. Anticipating to minor in Arabic wherever I go because it is my first language.
I am a first generation college student, come from a divorced family, and have relatively strong writing skills with great resources to edit my essays. I work part-time, intern for free at two animal hospitals, have over 500 hours of volunteer work with animals/community service.
**** The C’s I have are not ideal… But life happened.
Im well aware my GPA is on the lower side. The 50th percentile average for Davis has been 3.2-3.7 for awhile now. Just seing what you guys think I have to offer!
Staying another year to raise GPA isn’t an option for me. Its been almost 3 years and ill be done with my requirements.
