EC’s (Ik they’re weak)- 2 years of JV soccer, 1 year of JV lacrosse, Member of fashion club, photography club, yearbook club all throughout HS. Volunteered for 2 years at a children’s US History museum for 10 hours a week. Worked at dunkin donuts for 3 years for 30 hours a week(this job is a major reason I didn’t have time for more extracurriculars).

Awards- Overall Achievement in french (9th), Overall Achievement in English, Chemistry, History (10th)

Rank- 5/220 top 2%

Recommendations- will definitely strong, they’re coming from 2 teachers that I had for multiple years and developed close relationships of respect with.

Essay- I wrote my essay on my passion for playing the piano, I’ve played since I was 4 and have taken lessons for a couple hours a week ever since. Seems like a cliche topic but I made sure to incorporate the life skills that it’s provided me and the impact my love of music has had on my life

Here’s my 2 cents based on other posts I’ve seen and stats I’ve researched:
Columbia - Reach
Northeastern - Reach
BC - Match
BU - Match
NYU - Match
Fordham - Match/Safety

NE and Columbia already have kids applying with similar to better GPAs with higher SAT scores but it doesn’t completely diminish your chances of being accepted. You miss every shot you dont take right?

Northeastern is also a match. And working for 30 hours a week is a very strong EC. I think you have a really good chance at all of these schools except Columbia (but it’s a reach for everyone).
