Please let me know what I can do to improve my chances! Thank you!

You have a great shot at Northwestern as long as you raise your ACT up a bit. Your ECs are great so just focus on the test scores and essays and you’ll be fine. You’d also make a competitive Brown applicant but it’s a reach. Good luck! What’s your prospective major?

Apply ED, if your test scores are at least in the mid 50%

Have you learned about the schools you are applying to? Studied the curriculum and the culture. Visited? Attended classes, Toured departments, gone to plays, talked to students and professors? Plan your visits well in advance and maximize every minute on campus. Take notes, it will help you with your supplemental essays.

Do you know the regional reps for these schools? Have you met them? Brown lists on their web site the rep’s travel schedule <a href=“Undergraduate Admission | Brown University”>Undergraduate Admission | Brown University. The regional rep will be the one who will or will not advocate for you in the admissions committee.

Have started thinking about your essays? Take the the application and essays deadly seriously. Think about what every single word says about you and how that relates to the school you are applying to. Don’t just thoughtlessly fill it up with stuff. Don’t rush. Get it right! Ask just one (maybe two) adults to proof read and brain storm with you. Do you have a good english teacher? Buy this book http://www.amazon.com/Writing-College-Application-Essay-Acceptance/dp/0064637220#</a></p>

Have you spoken to your teachers about your recommendations? I mean really talked them. What do you want them to say about you? Read this: <a href=“The Art of the College Recommendation Letter - The Atlantic”>The Art of the College Recommendation Letter - The Atlantic;

You have a good shot but top schools are all crap shoots. If you want a really good shot ED is the way to go.

Competitve for all.
Brown is obviously the hardest to predict.

Brown has admission rate below 10% this year while Northwestern has also dropped to 12.9%. You should try to improve your ACT score as you are at or below the 25% right now.

Your GPA is awesome and so are your ECs! I reccomend taking the ACT again or SAT and getting at least 32 or 2100ish to be more competitive for Northwestern and Brown. But other than that, keep doing what you are doing! Good luck and thanks for chancing me!
