<p>I'll just get right into it! =)</p>

<p>White male, small private school, Virginia.</p>

<p>SAT: 740 CR, 800 M, 770 W (1540/2310)
SATII: 750 Math IIC, 750 US History, 740 Biology M
APs: 5 on US History, 5 on Biology, taking five others this year
Rank: School doesn't rank, but I am 3/60 (Top 5%)
Courseload: Most challenging possible, maximum honors and AP classes
GPA: ~103 Weighted, ~96 Unweighted. I've never gotten a B as a semester or final grade.</p>

<p>Extracurriculars:</p>

<p>-Varsity tennis every year
-Varsity cross country every year
-Key Club (board member and VP)
-National Honor Society (VP)
-Lots of church activities
-Community service: probably around 200 hours.</p>

<p>Awards: Some generic stuff, nothing nat'l.
Essays: I think they are pretty good. They are well-written and I think they show a personal side of myself that couldn't be shown anywhere else.
Teacher Recs: They should be good but not amazing.</p>

<p>I know I am lacking in outstanding ECs or awards, so that will probably hurt me at my reaches.</p>

<p>Here's where I am applying/have applied:</p>

<p>Safety: Penn State (already in), James Madison
Match: UMichigan, University of Virginia (in-state + legacy), Boston College
Reach: Northwestern, Georgetown, Duke, Brown, Harvard</p>

I know I have little chance of getting into Harvard, but I love the school and have nothing to lose by applying.</p>

<p>you are correct in your self-assessment except id say northwestern would be a match/reach.</p>

<p>i wouldnt be surprised if you got into all those schools</p>
