Um hey guys. I know that ED 1 decisions are going to be mailed in 3 days but I'm nervous as hell, and I'd like to know my chances at getting in. I applied for CAS, Pre-Law.

My stats are:
SAT I- 1820 -low, I know but NYU's not going to look at SATs this year apparently, if I do IB.
540 CR, 630 Math, 650 Writing with 11 on essay
SAT II: Took Lit, Math I and World History in Dec. Will know my scores in a few weeks time.
GPA: Weighted = 4.901, but rising. Estimated to be over 5 by the end of the semester. My school doesn't do unweighted
Rank (percentile if rank is unavailable): top 10%
IB (place score in parenthesis): HL English A1 (predicted 7), HL Economics (predicted 6), HL History (predicted 6), SL French (predicted 5), SL Biology (predicted 5), SL Math Studies (predicted 5)
Senior Year Course Load: I'm doing the IB diploma... so yeah.

ECs: lots of sports, community service and organizing events. 250 hours in total.
International student. Asian.

...Anything else? Idk. But NYU's like my dream school and I really want to get in . . . regardless of my low SATs. Chance me?
Thanks guys!

I wouldn’t submit SAT if you want to use your IB scores instead, even though NYU says to submit everything

7 in HL English is impressive.
34/42 is decent, a bit low, but not sure. I dont even know the average IB score for NYU since this is their first year implementing IB diploma as their standardized test.

yeah ED 1 for Stern, so nervous! good luck! I just submitted my IB diploma predicted scores without SATs, I dont know how that is going to play out

How were your predicteds though? And don’t worry, we’ll be put out of this agony in 3 days! Hopefully we’ll both make it…
Good luck to you tooo!
