<p>Hey guys Im currently a junior right now so I still have a long way to go before admissions, but I just want to know where I'm at and see if you folks can help me along the way :D</p>

<p>Grades:
Will have taken 5 AP courses by the end of junior year and plan on to take at least 5 more in Senior year. Rest of my courses are honor courses.
GPA Unweighted: 3.667 Cumulative is 91.1%
I'm rank 171/616 (Top 30%)</p>

Planning on to take it again in March..hopefully it will turn out better ><
Havent taken the ACT</p>

<p>Activities/Extracuricular:
3years of Latin club
3years of Beta club
1year of Jazz Band(Planning on to join Senior year)
Praise team member(Play drums and keys)
Composer(Piano)
Composed a musical piece for the American Education breakfast that was hosted at my school
Played piano for about 8years
Played drums for about 6 years
Self-taught guitar and bass
Youth Praise team leader
Played Recreational soccer for local soccer team for 2 seasons (Captain of defense)
Do about 2-3hrs of community serviceby coaching my Sunday school soccer team every Sunday
As of now I have 20+ community service hours.</p>

<p>Job Experience-
Tutoring for about 5months
Drum Lessons for about 5 months as well</p>

<p>Honors:
Won school and county level for the National PTA reflections program in Musical composition...Still waiting for the State level results :D
Couple of awards from National exams for Latin..can't remember the levels ><</p>

<p>Planning to major in Music Technology or Music Composition</p>

<p>I know this doesn't consider essays and recommendations, but just wanted to know where I should start focusing on more. I appreciate the replys. </p>

<p>NYU & UM will be reaches with 1780. ur ECs are good - they focus on ur music thing. try get some leadership stuff and a better sat score. thats all u need and ull be in (along wid good essays/recs)

<p>Get a 1950+ on the SAT/28+ on the ACT and your chances will increase markedly.</p>

<p>Also…i didnt want to post again…but how about Georgia Tech. Seeing that it’s an instate school for, it might seem better for me to apply to an instate school as well…</p>
