<p>I'm going to a high school, which according to US News, is number 49 in the country. On the downside, there's mucho competition.</p>

<p>Okay, let's get to the fun stuff...
Asian female, lower middle class
GPA ~90-91 unweighted (We don't do out of 4.0)
SAT I: Math, CR, Writing - 720, 700, 620 I will retake in October and will probably score 2200+
National Merit Scholar (PSAT 2260)
SAT II: Biology 750
I'm taking US & Math II in November... expect to score 700+ </p>

<p>Essay- I'm a decent writer so I think I can whip up a good - if not excellent - essay :)
I am passing up cross country this year to participate in more clubs.</p>

<p>I dont think you have anything to worry about, especially when you are doing ED</p>

<p>You haven’t provided your ranking, so I don’t exactly know how much your GPA would work against.for you. However, you have solid AP scores and excellent ECs that should allow you a decent chance. However, keep in mind that Stern is one of the most sought-after business undergraduate institutions, and your status as a overrepresented minority and gender (female), will work against you. </p>

<p>Express yourself within your essays and show colleges your potential for growth.</p>

<p>Lower middle class?? How will you afford the financial aid? i don’t think you’re being reasonable with yourself by applying for ED to NYU considering you probably can’t pay the full tuition. Only apply ED if you’re positive you can pay most tuition. </p>

<p>Your raw stats and SAT’s are fine, make sure your SAT II’s are good. I think the MBC marketing research will look very good, especially if you get someone to write you a recommendation. Other than that, your EC’s are pretty ubiquitous amongst top college candidates. I am applying to NYU ED too! Good luck!</p>
