I think that you have good chances, I would say apply early if you can & if you are ready, that way you show interest
( if it is your first choice)
also NYU puts a lot of weight on to your writing for the app so start writing early and work hard!

@aik257 I was thinking of applying early, but I decided against it because the chances of me financially being able to afford it are so slim. (Because of this I’m actually not sure I’m going to keep the school on my list. I keep going back and forth about it.)

I didn’t know NYU put more weight on the essay - I heard Gallatin did but I thought they were the only school. I actually got my first draft done of my essay in a workshop in early June and I’m very happy with how it has turned out.
