Hello, I am an IB student from NM and Occidental is my top school. I would like to be chanced Here are my “stats”:

All IB classes in 11th/12th grade (3 HL)
3.5 gpa, 3.8 last semester.
29 ACT (will hopefully raise to a 30)
Hospital Volunteer
Elementary school volunteer tutor
Film maker/editor - won third place in state film competition
Basketball Player Captain (talked to the coach, said I could tryout/manage on the team)
two martial arts black belts
Very good essays

Major: Kinesiology or Engineering

Please tell me what you think my chances are!

I would say you have a decent shot. Your ACT falls within the average range at Occidental, and your GPA seems alright. Also, as it’s your top school, have you considered applying early to boost your chances?

thank you very much, yes ive considered it, but im not sure I want to be that committed. Its a little scary to me haha. How much do you think it would boost my chances?
