Hi all!
First off I would like to say thanks for taking the time to read and give me my chances on getting into BYU! Please don’t be afraid to be realistic, and don’t pull any punches. Thanks everyone!
So I am a senior this year and plan on applying to BYU priority decision. Additionally, I am a US citizen and speak two languages, English and Korean. Spanish I speak and write enough to get by when I go to Mexico. I also live in San Diego, California so I will be applying out of state.Currently I am a methodist, however I wish to be baptized as a morman but I don’t want to out of fear that they will then ask why I did not attend seminary school even though I am a recent convert. I wish to be a dentist, and I want to go to BYU since it is a dental feeder school with a great pre-dental focus.
As for my stats, here you go:
Unweighted GPA: 3.0513(4 years)
Weighted GPA:3.3077(4 years)
Don’t know if they only look at sophomore and junior or all years for GPA. Please tell?
SAT(2400): Took only once, CR: 680, M: 770, W: 800. Overall, 2250.
AP Classes Taken: Chemistry, European History, Calculus AB, Calculus BC, US History, Physics C: Mechanics,and
Physics C: E & M.

Thanks all and I really appreciate any feedback I can get for BYU. Also, I am up for advice so please comment as much advice as possible! And yes I know about the behavior and dress policy for BYU(I want to go for that reason as well) so thank you so much everyone!
While your EC are good, your GPA is low for them, though, so admission will be trickier with them because of that more than anything. You should be just fine for the U of U though. It is more of a commuter school, so the on-campus vibe not as lively. Have you considered Utah Valley University? It is very very very close to BYU and many BYU hopefuls go there because the social scenes have so much overlap…it is very easy to meet people. If you do end up going to another school with the hopes of transferring to BYU later, keep your college GPA at a near perfect 4.0 since the transfer requirements are more difficult than for freshman.
