What’s your safety?

@Catria Thank you. How much differently would my standings be if I applied to the Regular schools and then just majored in Economics, but not in the school of business? Would that be a wiser decision? Also, for Mendoza, you don’t apply directly to the school, just ND first right? Also one of my safeties would be Providence.

Any other opinions?

In the past, yes. All freshmen were admitted into ND’s First Year of Studies program, allowing them a year to select a major. Then as sophomores they are formally moved into whichever college applies (Mendoza, Arts & Letters, College of Science, etc.) However, beginning with the high school class of 2015, freshman applicants interested in business must apply directly to Mendoza. From what I hear, it will be extremely difficult, if not impossible, for ND students to transfer into Mendoza if they are not directly admitted to it as freshmen. Also, Mendoza applicants who are not accepted are unlikely to be offered admittance in general. At least, that’s what I’ve heard. This only applies to Mendoza. For all other majors, applicants will continue to apply to ND in general.

@Jea828 thanks for informing me of that, although it isn’t good news for me haha. Also, any opinions or advice for the other schools?
