<p>What are my chances of getting into Illinois Wesleyan, SLU, SIUE, Missouri State, Michigan State, Truman State, and then as longggg reaches, Yale and University of Chicago</p>

<p>I'd major in either Music Ed. Political Science, or Statistics</p>

Un-weighted GPA: 3.22
32 ACT
Freshman- 1st semester of Sophomore year I attended the #1 Public High School in Missouri(Ladue Horton Watkins)
2nd semester of sophomore year I went to Missouri Military Academt
Junior-Senior year I go to O'Fallon Township High School, in illinois</p>

<p>My low GPA: I had a 4.0 throughout my entire school career, but a few years ago, I was physically abused by my father, and at that point, grades just didnt seem to matter anymore, and my GPA dropped...a lot, but after my horrendous freshman year, which was right after the abuse, my grades have started to come up each year</p>

<p>At this point, I should point out that at Missouri Military Academy, they calculated their grades by month, not semester...I think this contributed to my low gpa as well, because when I see my transcripts, it looks like a got a B in a class, when really, I only got a B in one or two months</p>

<p>I sympathize your experience. Now that you have revised your post significantly, it gives me much less an impression of a physical injury leading to your lower GPA than your original post. You may put that in your essay. An upward trend in GPA is good. No one really care about middle school grades no matter how good or bad they are.
Still, try to bring up your GPA. You should be a match for MSU. I am not familiar with the other schools though.</p>

<p>I didn’t figure middle school grades counted at all, but still, I figured it would be worth mentioning how they fell from like a 4.0 to a 3.0 almost right away after the abuse</p>

<p>To be honest, I’m not quite sure why I put Yale down, seeing as I won’t get in…I also forgot to mention, that 32 on the ACT was my first time, and I’m taking it again in June, so I could get a better score, and I was also involved in the Duke TIP program, if that means anything.</p>
