Cal Poly MCA:
MCA: 4621
Intended Major: History or Slavic Studies
Please chance me for:
UCLA, UCSD, UCI, UCSB, Cal Poly SLO, NYU, Babson College, and UT Austin, USC, UNC Chapel Hill, and U Mish Ann Arbor?. (If you could put in the order of Safety, Match, and Reach)
Will chance back if you would like!
slightly unrelated but note that UC only accepts math level 2, math level 1 is only taken for clearing requirements (though UC doesn’t require any subject tests so it’s fine)
@dota2fan I took Math II I wrote the wrong one on original can you chance me if you have time?
@ucbalumnus for UCSB UCI and UCSD they are probably match- high match right? (50% chance or better of getting in?) in terms of percent do you think it’s a 50 percent chance or better for me?
You have a solid chance at all of the schools you listed. UCLA and NYU might be high matches/low reaches, but I think you’ve got a great shot.
@PhysicsWizard really for NYU? NYU average ACT is a 30 and UW GPA is a 3.7 so I thought my 32 would more than make up for .04 off on GPA especially because I had a very rigorous courseload I know UCLA is a probably a high match or low reach for me though.
BTW here is my UC GPA I typed it in wrong:
3.75UW 4.3W 4.05W and Capped
Regular GPA:
3.7UW 4.17W as you can see my freshman year really screwed me over.
@Sterny16 My bad. You’re right, you’re in a pretty good range for NYU. The good news is that your freshman year gets less attention that junior and sophomore year do; GPA isn’t really a great metric. What matters more is your grades in core subjects and the rigor of your curriculum.
