Chance me on my dream school, Johns Hopkins!

Hi, I want to apply to Johns Hopkins, but I'm really not sure if I'll be able to get in. I want to major in International Relations (with a focus on Asia). Please help me by Chancing me!

I go to a VERY competitive magnet school in Texas. I am currently a junior, so these are my stats as the end of the first semester Junior Year.

GPA: 3.9 weighted (Keep in mind, my school is extremely competitive and high level, so while my GPA may seem low it is high for my school). I've made almost all A's, with the acception of some high B's in math and science courses. This year I am making all A's.
SAT: Just took it yesterday, have not received scores. Also plan to take Japanese, English, and Math, History, or Physics subject tests.
ACT: Taking in June
PSAT: 202
CLASS RANK: 49

COURSES: 2 APs Junior year and one dual credit course (I would have taken more if not for my time consuming extra curriculars), 5 APs next year with one dual credit course. Currently in AP japanese 4, will have 5 years next year. Also taking Chinese 1 next year.

ECs:
-4 years host of local radio show (Write stories, chose music, host, ect.). Stories from our radio show have been played on NPR, to give you an idea of what our show is like (mine have not been on NPR though)
-1 years Model UN, participated in State and National level competitions
-1 Year Youth and Government, advanced from district to state competition (highest level)
-2 years newspaper section editor (I think student produced media is extremely important!), have won a few different state awards for newspaper design and writing, our school paper is considered the best in Texas, we continuously win Pacemakers (Newspaper equiv. of a Pulitzer), Gold Stars, and Best In Show, among other awards.
-3 years National Honors Society
-6 years trumpet experience (although I'm not in band)
-1 year Japan Bowl LV 4 team captain, 10th place in National Japan Bowl Competition. I started the Japan Bowl team at our school, this year was our first year. Next year I will be president of Japan Bowl, but there is no LV 5 for me to compete at.
-Won FULL merit based scholarship to study abroad in Japan through YFU last summer. Only 4 people in the nation received this scholarship. I also plan to study abroad again in Korea, China, or an Arabic speaking country next year.
-4 years Japan Club
-5 years Member of the "Teen Eco Warriors" Local service group I helped start that focuses on humanitarian service projects that has been featured in many magazines.
-1 year Hosted a Japanese exchange student four years ago
*Note: I have never done sports because of my severe asthma

I have some other extracurriculars but I don't really think they're as important (Like being craft club president). I also might me forgetting some, I have too many to keep track of!

I think I'm really strong as far as extracurriculars go, and I actually plan on starting a few more next year (like the Reischauer Scholars Program), but my grades are not as high as I'd like them to be. Hopefully I will get a good score on my SAT and ACTs, but we'll see.

So could someone please tell me my chances of getting into Johns Hopkins? Thank you so much!

Here are the other schools I want to apply to, if you have time please chance me on them too, but Johns Hopkins is my first choice and biggest concern.

Georgetown
Tufts
American University
University of Rochester
Macalester

If you can think of any other colleges to recommend to me I would really appreciate it!

Thanks!!

you seem like a good contender, but it all depends on your ACT ans SAT scores. If you a 33, you should be fine. A 32 might even do it :)

Really?? Thanks for the input monicat :)

^ You seem like a pretty good applicant.

Do well on your SAT 2’s and apply Early Decision to maximize your chances.

Lookin good

I know this might be a little late but your chances look good. It all depends on your ACT/SAT score.

Also, just list your most important ec when you apply to college. They want to see how involve you were in that club.

I really hate it when people do chance threads without test scores. Seriously ■■■■
