Chance me on my transfer

Hey guys,

I plan to transfer to the business program at USF for the Fall of 13 which by then I'll have more than 60 credits and have a cumulative GPA of 3.34 (Predicted :P) Do you guys think I'll make it? Also USF says that it will consider Latin American countries for in-state fees for tuition purposes. Even though I have my F1 visa in my Korean passport I hold a dual citizenship with Guatemala. Would that make me eligible for such scholarship considerations?

Thanks

hawkpark, you get the award for best questions of the week! You have a lot of time yet before fall 2013; write USF with your questions and get IN WRITING from USF their answers to your questions. Good luck!

Yeah I realize I have a lot of time but I just wanted to ask people around here if people with a GPA of 3.3 usually get their transfer application accepted as Juniors. I doubt they would give me a straight forward answer about my question regarding the admission.

A 3.3 GPA with an AA should get you in most majors at USF as a transfer if you have completed necessary prerequisites, but a 3.3 may not be good enough for many scholarships. Available funding for scholarships can change year to year too.

Check with USF about your citizenship status, etc. and if you are eligible for any scholarships or the Florida resident tuition rate. As much as USF likes having international students, not to many international undergraduates get in-state tuition rate. Again, good luck!

Thanks for all the help so far!

Another question though, how well perceived is the business program or more specifically the accounting program at USF? Considering it’s in Tampa and has the Big 4 companies it can’t be overlooked can it? I have just been recently getting worried because of the things I read at CC. Any input is appreciated.

Anyone? :frowning:
Any information regarding the Accounting program of USF would be greatly appreciated
