Intending to double Major in English and Political science
ED to American and you should be fine. I know someone who got in unhooked to their business school with similar standardized test scores and a GPA under 3. Highlight your upward trend, write strong essays, and you should get in no problem.
What is your home state?
I concur with the assessment of @jarrett211 regarding American. Also, your chances of getting into Georgetown are extremely low based on your statistics. Can’t say about the other schools.
@jarrett211 @gandalf78 thanks! I feel iffy because of the freshman year grades but hopefully the upwards trend makes up for it. And i realize georgetown is a high reach but doesn’t hurt to try i guess.
@gandalf78 forgot to put my home state is Illinois
^ Well, I guessed that with your moniker; but I wanted to be sure.
Based on the Naviance scattergram profiles from out high school, I roughly estimate your chances as follows:
U of M – low chance; if you could raise your ACT score a couple of points and also your GPA, you would position yourself much better (but your upward trend in GPA should help some)
Michigan State – insufficient data
UW-Madison – insufficient data
Marquette – insufficient data
UIC – insufficient data
@gandalf78 nice thank you! Im working towards that right now
