Hello Everyone,

I was curious to get peoples opinions on whether or not I have a chance into getting into Michigan State as a transfer. I am applying for the Spring of 2011. I applied Late July and they received all my material at the end of August. I did receive admissions when I was a senior in high school with a 3.1 gpa and a 17 on my ACT. I am a first generation college student in my family. I unfortunately attended Western Michigan University due to scholarship purposes to save my parents money for me attending school.

I attended Western Michigan University, then transfer to Eastern due to me not liking Western. I took 35 total credit hours my freshman year and 29 credits transfer. I did have one W on my transcript. I have a 3.4 overall gpa since being in college. I am a math major in Education but have only taken Intermediate Algebra and Quantitative reasoning, but got A's in both classes. I have both math and english requirements that are being asked, 28 or more credits, and a gpa of 3.0 or higher. Is there still a chance for them to decline me admissions? I have yet to get a decision and am getting nervous about this. I can't tell whether its a good thing or a bad thing they are taking a while to make a decision. They said they would begin looking at transfer applications beginning October.

I did plenty of extracurricular activities in HS by being a 3 year varsity letter in both soccer and baseball. Also was a state finalist in creative marketing in business. Now that Im out of college I coached baseball and soccer in the summer, and now coach youth flag football in the fall.

Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!
