Chance me on UC's?

<p>Hi everybody I was wonder about my chances at getting into the different UC's available, with the exception of Cal, LA, and probably SD. I'm a California resident, and go to a rather high ranking public school. Only recently have a really started thinking about college.
My predicament is that I've never really tried too hard and I hope I won't have to suffer soon. In 10th grade I took 6 courses: AP Calc AB, AP World, Spanish, Painting, H English, and H Chem. I managed to blunder and get straight B's first semester, and only get one A, in H English, second semester.
I'm now a Junior and an IB Diploma Candidate with 4 HL Classes, and 2 SL's. HL Math, History of the Americas, Biology, and English, and SL Chemistry and Spanish. This first semester I got a C in math and a B in everything else except for Chemistry, in which I got an A. This semester I got myself together and will hopefully have about 4-5 A's.
As far as EC's go, I haven't done much past the average volunteer work and some work experience during the summer.
My SAT score was 2100, but I feel like I can raise that pretty easily, studying for the June one, I'll probably take the ACT as well.
So can anyone offer some insight? What would the best UC be willing to accept a slacker who averaged B's in mostly honors/HL/AP's? And how do I calculate my UC GPA?, do I only factor in the weight of 8 courses?
Thanks for reading, please give any advice you guys have. Is there a great non-UC college I'm ignoring? I'm interested in STEM majors, by the way.</p>

<p>If you go to UC Doorways
[University</a> of California Doorways Home](<a href=“http://www.ucop.edu/doorways/]University”>http://www.ucop.edu/doorways/)
you can calculate your GPA. Calculate your UW, W uncapped and W capped at 8 courses for the grades 10-11. If your plan succeeds with the 4-5 As, then having a upward trend should help and you should be good for the lower three UCs. The mid tiers will be a bit more difficult to apply, but it doesn’t hurt to try. STEM at the top three are a reach though. Good luck!</p>

<p>Thanks for the input. Hope I can pull it off and being in IB helps my chances.</p>
