Chance Me? OOS and URM. Will Chance Back!

smguevara, you are not helping by double posting and making statements that are clearly based strictly on prestige and rankings. College is much more than that…

You are a lock at GW I’d say. Georgetown definitely is a reach, and BC is a reach. Get the SAT up, and you should be pretty competitive.

The double posting was an accident; I realized it looks a bit arrogant. Haha

Sure college is what you make of it, but when the resources are much more attainable at another school, and the alumni network is stronger than one school will be much stronger than another.

Well with respect to GW, Georgetown is hands down superior with regards to objective criteria. The OP probably already realizes that. But, with her credentials as they stand, she won’t get into Georgetown, so pursuing other options is important.

Regarding BC vs Georgetown internships and alumni, it depends on your field of study. Business? Definitely BC
Law? Georgetown
Pre-med? Both are fairly equal in their respective regions. Both are very good, but Georgetown is overshadowed by Johns Hopkins and BC by Harvard

Thank you trizle in respect to Georgetown! I actually believe she could get in. I got in with a bit higher stats, however I believe she is African american and believe it or not, that is huge! Plus I know people who got in during the early process and had a 1700 on their SAT. But he was African American. Therefore I say, apply! Plus one never knows until they actually do apply. (:
