<p>It seems like you have a pretty good chance, and your senior course load is pretty good, they don’t take into account high school GPA, only the rank. Top 7% is ok. I think it might need to be a little higher since all top 7% class rank Texas high-schoolers get auto-admitted to UT. So I’d think UT might look for a bit more.
I would say maybe try to bump up your SAT score a bit, maybe take the ACT since it seems like you’re better at math? I know I had an easier time with the ACT since I was more math-centered</p>
<p>If you fix that, I think you’d have a good shot at getting in.

<p>Thanks! I’m actually kind of excited now. I’m taking SAT classes right now, and I’m aiming for a 2200 for next time. I’m going to be working on that for the summer. Also, my second semester hasn’t ended yet, so I’m not sure if my class rank will go up or down, but I hope it’s up!</p>
