Chance me (OOS)

I'm from PA and I go to one of the premiere public schools in the state. I applied to the Biology major and the Psych (BS) major at UT Austin. Can you guys give me a rough estimate of my chances.

2100 SAT (2110 superscored)

3.49 UW GPA (School doesn't rank.)

8 AP classes (APUSH, Psych,
Comp Sci, Lang, USGOV, Stat, Bio, Macro/Micro Econ)

I am heavily involved in my schools theatre group. I've held many design and leadership positions including being on the board.

I've done a lot of volunteer work. Volunteered at a summer camp, my synagogue, and at the cancer support community.

I had three recommendations. Two from teachers, one from the director of research and training at the cancer support community.

I also had two, I think, really good essays.

I still haven't heard back. I've already been admitted to Pitt and Penn State but I'd much prefer to go to Texas as I feel it's a better school and it has move of what I want in a college. Also PA gets cold af.

Science majors could be tough but you sound like you have a lot going for you

Is it significantly harder to get in as an out of state student vs as a non auto admit Texas resident?

I think so. State law says they have to admit at least 75% texas applicants, so at most only 25% can be oos, and less if they admit more than 75% from texas. Your sat is good, just keep the faith. Have a plan b and hope you don’t need it!
