Hey!! As long as you have good essays, I think you will be good. I know kids from my school with lower stats that got in. We were out of state too.

What is it on a 4.0 scale? AFAIK that’s the common scale in Florida. If it’s above a 3.75 you should be a strong applicant with your ACT score.

I’d say you’re in - but apply to FSU too - because you will get in and an OOS waiver…a nice fallback if U of F doesn’t work…and actually better in some majors.

on a 4.0 (unweighted) it is about 3.98. One B - but mostly all grades have with added weight due to advanced nature.

I would think that you chances are very good.

However, I have to wonder: Why? I am guessing from your login name that you are from Texas. You have really good public universities in Texas.

Yeah, that’s a really good GPA. Just curious, but why UF?

Definitely a good solid match school for you. I think you’ve got a good shot!

thank you - and yes. Lived in TX whole life and ready for a change, but only if it is good college like UF

UF is indeed a good university. However, you might want to also apply to in-state universities as well as UF, and then see where you get in and see what each is going to cost.

In considering either UF or in-state universities, you can also look at the study abroad opportunities, since that is another way to get a change. The people that I know who have studied abroad have had very positive things to say about it. Most if not all universities have at least some options available.
