Hello!
I am a rising senior at a small private high school in SC. I would like to be “chanced” for UVA, Washington and Lee, Clemson Honors, Georgetown, University of Pennsylvania, Richmond, and UNC. I still need some figuring out to do, and would like to see what my chances are at some of these great institutions. I hope to major in History or Political Science.
SAT
Critical Reading: 710
Math: 710
Writing: 700
ACT
Unfortunately my scores have not come in yet for the most recent test, however the first time around I got a 29. I am really sure I did better this time around, but not sure it could surpass the SAT score.
Weighted GPA: 4.98
Unweighted GPA: 3.96
Will have taken 9 AP courses by the time I graduate. I have taken 5 already. I have challenged myself with the most difficult (and well-rounded) curriculum possible at my school.
Alongside being a student council rep. for 3 years, and upcoming student council president this year, I have other academic awards and achievements, such as National Honor Society, Spanish National Honor Society, and winning the Jefferson Book Award from UVA alumni this past year. I completed the Chamber of Commerce Junior Leadership course as well as other leadership/community programs, along with being a varsity athlete. I have many interests and have been involved in different electives (like robotics) and other activities. I won an extemporaneous speaking award at a state competition for private schools, for instance.
I believe that my essays will be fairly good. I don’t want to be cocky, but writing is one of my favorite things to do and I intend to show that skill and passion the best that I can.
