i think you are in at Georgetown or as least you will be really competitive ther
and for the rest of the two you should have no problem

OK now here's the wierd thing I have a 3.3 GPA b/c my school does a A=4 B=3 etc. will a college just look at the GPA written on there or will they actually look deeper. It sucks b/c I got 11 A's 8 B's and 5 C's. but unless I just screw up these next 2 weeks of school then I should have 4 more A's.

bumpppppppppppp

What major at Georgetown, in particular?

As for your general chances, well, I don't know. The stats aren't stellar, but your ECs are decent. Like, I envision you and see you as a cool, compassionate nice guy, a guy that is personable and colleges want (that's important).

Upward Bound is what can get you in. I think the GPA and the service activities are good enough to give you a good shot (I'd say at least 60%?). Considering you are a first generation college student, your chance could be even higher.

The divorce and ADHD don't really mean anything here, sorry to be blunt. I know those two things, especially the former, probably impacted you in a big way, but unless you eloquently explain that in your essay, you're just like a lot of other kids.

On an happy note again =], I'd think you're a match for Georgetown. I'd think you're a shoo-in for the other two schools (and they should give you merit-based financial aid considering they're so darn expensive).

Georgetown- high match
American- IN
GWU- IN

You are definitely within the range although I'm more concerned with your ACT score. 27 is kind of low for Georgetown's standard. My GPA is definitely lower than yours but my ACT is higher so you can definitely shoot for other schools. You can get into AU and GW no problem. You're only applying to 3 schools right? Try some other ones. With scores like that maybe Wake Forest or Fordham among others.

well IDK y on the ACT scores but for some reason like I said we've only had 1 person in the last 4-5 years even hit a 30. prolly lack of classes.

Ok so my GPA is apparently like a 3.5 now. Anyone want to have a go with that?
oh and I'm looking into Psychology. Could learning new languages help? I'm learning estonian, spanish, and latin.
