What is the best study method for the SAT?

Depends on what school you're applying to. What you should do is to go to the CollegeBoard website, look at the CollegeSearch, and type in the different schools you're applying to. The website gives the average SAT scores for entering students, and it's useful for comparing the average scores to your scores and to see how you stack up.

have done a little bit of that.

just wondering if anyone knows schools in my range near southeast region (US).

Any match schools?

okay last shot.
should i apply to uva?

Those scores look great for your local community college. You may even be able to apply to your local state university (if you live in some crappy state like Alaska).

No offense, but your third try at taking the SAT is unlikely to yield a significant improvement. And for ^ who says that CC is the best option, that is definitely not true. There are many state universities and private schools that will accept a student with those scores. I mean, it won't exactly be Harvard, but there are loads of universities out there that have student bodies made up of similar scoring students.

Um, that was my first try at the SAT. In between the breaks I was having serious women issues. If you must know.

And I will be retaking the SAT in October, only for the second time...

I have been studying everyday for the slightest hope that my score will improve. And shooting me down is not helpful. =[

I just want suggestions.

Lol...nobody is attacking you, no need to get defensive.

You say in your original post that you will be taking the SAT for the third time.

and what are "serious women issues"?

"Serious women issues" are simply excuses people make to make them feel as if they are less of a failure. Excuses are just that; they are not really the cause of your low scores. Unless you were constantly thinking about that during your test, then your score shouldn't have been affected so significantly. Maybe 50 points, 100 at most. And if you were thinking that constantly during the test, then we all know that you aren't really cut out for a high test score. If you cannot not concentrate during an important test, then that says a lot about your strive to improve and about you in general.
