I wrote my essay on overcoming depression in high school. It was a well written essay but not overly sympathetic.

I applied undecided to every college that I applied to

Please let me know what you think my chances are at getting in to the following schools!

University of Pennsylvania (major reach I know haha)
University of Massachusetts Amherst
Boston University
Northeastern
Syracuse
University of Maryland College Park
University of Connecticut
University of Rochester

Thanks in advance!!

UPenn-very high reach
BU- match to low reach
Northeastern- low reach ( admission to seems to be getting even more competitive- not sure how undecided impacts
University of Maryland ( match)
UCONN (safety- borderline for honors)
Univ. Massachusetts (safety)- possibly honors
Syracuse (safety)
Univ of Rochester ( not familiar with)
I wasn’t sure which of the state schools is your home. If CT- would think you’d get a bit of Merit for UCONN some for Mass. if OOS for UCONN you will most likely get larger merit. Best wishes.

Thanks so much! I’m from California so I’m out of state for all of them

UPenn-High Reach
Syracuse- Safety
UConn- Safety
University of Rochester-Low Reach
Boston U- Reach
Northeastern- Reach
Umass- Safety
University of Maryland- Safety

I put Boston U and Northeatern as Reaches because they are getting so much more competitive in the past few years. Almost everyone from my school this year, that applied to both of those colleges for Early Decesion got rejected and had really high stats. I think you have a good chance for Unibersity of Rochester since your in their range for their GPA and SAT averages.

Thank you!!
