If you are in one of the “top 3” HS in the US you have much better chancing resources than anybody on CC can give you.

What are you looking for from CC? validation? a different opinion than your advisor (who will have the best possible understanding of college outcomes from your school)? a release of the general anxiety that comes from being in a super-intense prep school?

I would move Pitzer down to Match and Haverford, Michigan, and Michigan up to reach.

American - you’d be surprised - it is a safety - but they are huge Demonstrated Interest. You see 34 ACTs rejected as they didn’t show interest and 26s getting in.

If you don’t have a definite school you want to attend, then you should not ED. Only ED if you have a clear top choice and you can clearly afford it. Use their Net Price Calculator to see.

You didn’t mention cost concerns - but you’d get some big $ at some really great schools if you wanted to keep tuition down.

I assume that you are a rising senior?

What kind of experience are you a looking forward to in college? What would you like to get out of college? What are your career aspirations?

I don’t see a theme to the schools on your list. On what basis were they selected? What am I missing?

This site may help you refine your choices:

Just looking for another perspective.

Look at your school’s Naviance or scoir. That alone should tell you a lot. And ask your CGO. They should assign your schools as reach/match/likely.

But, you should also be looking at fit. The schools you’ve listed are very different. Do you want an urban environment? A suburban environment? A college town? A LAC or a university? Can you do some visits?
